Wednesday November 19, 6:00-8:00pm

What we will be doing:

• Reviewing upcoming service opportunities.
• Reviewing December Event Details.
  
• Taking names of people interested in attending LA Congress Youth Day "Step Up to Life."*
• Year 2 students will continue composing their group prayer.
  
• Year 1 students will continue working on learning a new prayer.
  
• Celebrating November Birthdays! Yay!
  
• Begin plans/brainstorming for a Youth Mass.

*Interested students will be asked to sign up for a "conference" with Alicia to take place between now and Dec 1. Fr. Stasys and/or Loretta may also be present. You will have several times/dates from which to choose. You will schedule a 20-minute conference during which you will answer the following questions:

1. Why are you interested in attending Youth Day?
2. What is your plan for saving/earning the money required to attend?
3. What are some ways you might bring your experience home to the SAYG (St. Athanasius Youth Group)?
4. Do your parents support your participation? If not, or if you don't know, how do you plan to gain their permission to attend?
   
5. What is your plan for missed classes/tests/assignments?
6. Have you looked at the booklet or website and if so, what appeals to you? Which sessions look interesting?

• The more prepared you are with your responses, the more seriously your interest will be taken.
  
• There will be no penalty if you reschedule your appointment due to a conflict and you contact Alicia ahead of time.
  
• Missed appointments or lack of preparedness indicate that you are probably not ready to take on the privilege and responsibility required for participation!
